THE RESORT
Two Islands - One Atoll - Two Different Faces
Nabcco Island Resort is located in the lovely turquoise lagoon from the Maratua Atoll, around 45 minutes boat ride from Nabucco is our second Islandresort, Nabucco's Nunukan Island Resort, situated.
NABUCCO ISLAND :
Nabucco Island is this year celebrating the 11th anniversary. Circular in shape and with 20,000 square meters, Nabucco boasts of eight tasteful wooden double bungalows and one cosy honeymoon bungalow.
OUR LOCATION
BUNGALOWS
Six double bungalows (2 rooms under one big roof, in total 12 rooms) with direct sea entrance, 2 double bungalows (4rooms) are located in the tropical garden with sea view and 1 single bungalow with direct sea entrance.
All rooms are equipped with fan, AC, mosquito net, mini Bar and a big balcony, WC and shower with warm & cold water. The direct sea entrance bungalows are dotted along the outer edges of the island and are erected on stilts that support the balcony overlooking the lagoon. Steps from the balcony lead directly into the sea, ensuring easy access for bathing and snorkelling.
During high tide it is possible to go for a swim or snorkel direct from the rooms with direct sea entrance. During low tide it is a sandy area, where you can observe thousands of crabs.

THE RESTAURANT & BAR
Our restaurant’s panoramic view is matched in terms of its culinary delights. Breakfast choices are made to order served together with freshly baked bread, fresh fruit and fruit cocktail. Typical light Asian dishes & western dishes are offered for lunch and at dinner times, our guests are treated to a five course dinner that guarantees to satisfy even the healthiest of appetites.
The bar is pleasant and welcoming in nature, offering the perfect setting to muse over the days’ activities, participate in a game of chess and watch the sunset whilst enjoying the eclectic cocktail menu or selection of wines, beers and liqueurs.
Besides the restaurant, the bar was built in part around the trees. The bar is equipped with a TV and a DVD player to the events of the day and socialize via photo or video to let pass by.

NABUCCO DIVE CENTER
Our Dive Centre is conveniently located on the pier itself next to the boat departure area making gearing up as undemanding as possible. Three speedboats are delegated for diving and the surrounding area boasts of several dive locations all within 30 minutes distance. The most diving spots from Nabucco are located on the east side from the Martua Atoll. 3 dives a day are offered every day.
The closest, only 5 minutes away and certainly the most renowned dive site is Big Fish Country, the main channel that connects the lagoon to the outer reef. When the rising current is at its strongest there is no telling what surprises can be found. A colossal mass of schooling chevron barracuda reside here and various sharks, spotted eagle rays, big groupers, bumphead parrotfish and schooling trevallies can also be glimpsed.

Diving excursions to outlying islands, such as Sangalaki and Kakaban will be offered once a week.
ACTIVITY
Nabucco Massage
The lagoon is the perfect setting for waterskiing and wake boarding. We offer as well traditional massages to nourish and stimulate circulation easing away stress, fatigue and anxiety in our Massageroom.

Nabucco Village Visits
On the island Maratua there are 5 small villages with about 2000 inhabitants. The southernmost town in the atoll, Bohe Silian, can be reached by speedboat from Nunukan in 30 minutes and can be visited on a leisurely stroll.

Nabucco Cooking Class
Discover during a cooking class with our chef Yotam the Indo-Pacific cuisine and cook the food then home again after. Of course, Yotam happy even if he can try something new, something he learned from guests.
Nabucco Sports
Volleyball : In the back of the island is a beach volleyball court. This excess energy can be broken down :-)
Chess : Friends of the mental exercises come here all their money - there are more than enough for this strategic board game lovers.
